NorthSide Montessori School accepts applications for enrollment throughout the school year. Most children, however, begin school in the fall or in the Summer Academic Camp.
NorthSide Montessori School does not discriminate in the enrollment of children upon the basis of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. We are committed to bringing children together from a broad spectrum of ethnic, national, and religious backgrounds. The School administration also realizes that choosing a school that is right for your child is the one of the most important decisions parents will make. Therefore, regarding admissions, our goal is to help parents find the best match between student and school.
The admission process begins with an interested parent calling the school and scheduling an appointment with head of the school and classroom directress for a school visit. During the visit, parents will observe in the classrooms and the classroom directress will explain, in depth, what you can expect to see in a Montessori classroom. Parents will take a tour of the facility, and upon completion of the visit, parents will have the opportunity to ask questions. These visits are for adults only, so please make alternate arrangements for young children. Following the visit by the parents, a visit with the child will be arranged. The purpose of visiting with your child is for the staff to get to know your child better. This is a low-key visit that involves introducing some Montessori materials and having casual conversation. It is an opportunity for the staff to determine your child’s readiness and fit for the Montessori classroom.
Before a child can be considered for admission, the parents must submit a completed New Student Information Form, accompanied by a non-refundable registration fee ($100 for Preschool/Kindergarten Programs and $100 for Toddler Program). To complete the admission of your child to NorthSide Montessori School, we must also receive a completed Student Registration Form, 10% tuition deposit, and a signed Enrollment Agreement.
For more information or to arrange for a visit and tour, please fill out the form on the Contact Us page. We look forward to hearing from you.
“The greatness of the human personality begins at the hour of birth. From this almost mystic affirmation there comes what may seem a strange conclusion: that education must start from birth.” - Dr. Maria Montessori
